Practical, time efficient and affordable.

Simply SFP: An Intensive Certificate Course.

Back by popular demand, our Simply SFP course offers practical, time efficient training. Our aim is to boost your confidence, give you time to reflect, and teach you the approach in line with UKASFP accreditation standards.

Why?

About this course.

Like us, you probably want to empower people to create positive change in their lives. In reality this can be tough to do with the stresses and strains of life and work. You may struggle to get time to develop your skills or reflect on your practice which can easily lead to a drop in confidence and self belief.

We’ve created this 10 week course so you can reflect on your practice, boost your confidence and to further develop your skills to help you ensure that you are doing the best you can to help the people you are trying to serve.

It’s difficult to find training courses that make the most of your finite time and hard earned money. Our Simply SFP course takes you beyond the basics, boosts confidence levels and better prepares you for UKASFP accreditation.

Meet your trainers.

Solution Focused Possibilities (SFP) is a trio of SF practitioners, A.Biba Rebolj, Ben Scott and Greg Oberbeck, who are continuing to innovate, observe and learn from practice.

Our mission is to inspire the next wave of SF practitioners by trying out new ways, entering new fields, and inspiring others, whilst always keeping the SF approach and our teaching simple.

We are delighted you are here and are welcoming you on our journey together!

What is it like to work with us?

We have worked with people just like you from all over the world.

Irena, Youth Behavioural Support

This training made me feel liberated, lighter and these tools gave me so much more freedom.

Andrej, Education

I was actually really sceptical because it seemed far too simple. I thought that this is not how you solve problems but it turns out that it is!

Tina, Social Worker

When I work with a client now, I feel less pressure to provide the answer to the client.

Who is this course for?

  • For those who have already completed some foundational SF training and are currently practicing.
  • Practitioners advancing in their skills.
  • Something for those who are deliberate about their practice, their continuous professional development and striving for clinical excellence.

What does this course prepare me for?

As we at Solution Focused Possibilities have been actively involved in the review of the UKASFP Accreditation Criteria, and are accredited ourselves, we are well placed to talk to you about the current requirements of Accreditation so that you are as prepared as you can be for your own submission should you choose to apply.

If your aim is not to apply for UKASFP Accreditation, then you can be assured that our combined experience of 25 years using this approach with groups, families, children, young people, refugees, human trafficking survivors, social care, education, teams, supervision and more will enable you to take your practice to that next level. Not only that, but we will support you to develop habits and a structure that will enable you to continue building your skills well after the course is completed.

FAQ’s

We believe there are many wonderful training packages out there. And we also believe that there is always room for offering something different. If you have ever been on a training course that you’ve absolutely loved and yet, for whatever reason, you haven’t been able to retain as much of it as you wanted, this training will be different. If you were on training where there were too many people or a small few dominated much of the conversation, this training will offer possibilities to interact with others in a different way. And if you have been in a place when you went back to your day job where you couldn’t quite apply all of what your training offered to your work, this training will do something different.

We have been in exactly that spot where we got enthused and were still hungry. Wanting to make a difference, we have designed the Simply SFP course to include a combination of individual coaching sessions as well as teaching elements in a small group that will involve a lot of practice.

This training is uniquely designed to help you get the most you possibly can from it so that when you go back to your day job you are able to take your practice to another level.

We will be bringing you 30 hours of tuition focusing on every aspect of Solution Focused practice – Best Hopes, Preferred Future, Scaling, Follow-Ups, Getting Detail, and the list goes on and on. As all of your trainers have been involved in reviewing the UKASFP accreditation criteria, and Greg is a UKASFP accreditor, we are well placed to help you understand what standards of quality SF practice are, develop your skills to avoid the common pitfalls and be able to fluidly use each aspect of SF practice in a way that is right for you and those that you are supporting in your work – as well as being better prepared to meet the UKASFP accreditation criteria should you wish to become an accredited SF practitioner in the future

We are currently planning dates for our 2024 course. Tuition is delivered once per week, for 3 hours, over a 10 week period.
